Ranger

June 6, 2025

Ranger was urgently flown to Wpg after apparently being hit by a vehicle.  At 10 yrs old we didn’t know what to except….

He was not able to use his back legs and was basically fighting to stand, move or use the bathroom.  Honestly the video I was shown was incredibly hard to watch and I didn’t watch the whole thing.

I knew he needed help asap.  Once he was in our care we immediately went to Oakbank Vet where he was checked over and had xrays done.  Couldn’t find anything broken/fractured, he did have evidence of being shot with  BB gun, also vet said he has Spondylosis, as well as lessions on his spine likely causing some paralysis.   But no clear evidence he was injured by a vehicle.  A little confused at this point as to what really happened to this poor dog???

The treatment plan is the start of many physio and acupuncture appointments.

Supplements and new diet is also part of his recovery

We are so blessed to have such an amazing foster mom who is instrumental in getting all these appointments set up for him.  Michelle Knapp is a hands on mom to him.  He is unable to stand or walk and Michelle must assist him to get anywhere.  Just going to the bathroom is a big production!

We will give Ranger every opportunity to regain use of his legs.  He has a huge interest in life and is truly the sweetest senior Boxer around!!

We will be fundraising quite frequently as his expenses aren’t a lump sum invoice,  rather a daily need.  If he needs it we want to give it to him.
